Care & Counseling

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”  Galatians 6:2

As God’s amazing love captures our attention, his joy and satisfaction overflow within – even when bad things happen. God’s love and care then overflow from us to others around us who have needs. Giving and receiving creates a deep experience of God’s presence among his people and also creates a visible display of the Gospel in the world! Contact Pastor Dave about any of the avenues of care mentioned here.

Prayer requests are collected with the offering on yellow prayer card or by contacting the church office. Members of our prayer team are available in the sanctuary after Sunday morning services. The elders are happy to gather when called for special prayer for the sick. Church office: (781) 749-2592

At root, our problems are not just relational, physical, emotional or mental. Our underlying problem has been described as a “worship disorder”. Since people are spiritual, our problems are spiritual and the solutions must be spiritual as well.

We are not a counseling center, yet the Gospel addresses human need with true meaning, joy and hope. Our contribution to counseling is a focus on applying God’s redemptive Word to all of life. Contact Pastor Cody (781) 749-2592 X123 or approach any elder or pastor for counseling.

Growth Groups provide a unique environment to practice biblical community, to grow as disciples of Christ, and to reach out together with the gospel. This is a natural way to experience support and mutual care. Contact Pastor Stephen McDonald – (781) 749-2592.

The first Christians chose trusted leaders to coordinate practical care (Acts 6). We have a similar team called by the biblical name “Deacons” (meaning “servants”). They offer confidential financial help, advice, accountability and other tangible assistance.
Contact the deacons via email.

The Deacons are looking for some volunteers to help with current needs:
  1. Make meals for those in need
  2. Visit Shut-Ins
  3. Drive people to church

A friendly face can brighten the day.  Pastors, Staff, Elders, Care Team members or Deacons are ready to visit in a time of need: crisis, hospitalization, convalescence, etc. Call the church office  (781) 749-2592 X100 or contact Pastor Stephen

Are you struggling? Sometimes we try to find ways to comfort ourselves that rob us of our peace. Experience God’s grace as we learn to turn to the truth of God’s Word when we are feeling drawn to our addiction of choice—at the Addictions Small Group. For information, contact Michael Sharkey, 617-721-1092
